Who we help

This is a free, confidential health service funded by the Government of Ontario.

Is the West Ottawa HART Hub right for me?

The Hub is for people aged 16 and older who are looking for support with substance use health.

If you are looking for medical care, housing support, social work, mental health support, or withdrawal management because substance use is affecting your life, we may be able to help.

If you are looking for general primary care or social services and do not have substance use concerns, call 2-1-1 to be connected with other community resources.

We support people aged 16 and older looking for help with substance use health

You can drop in anytime to ask questions or learn more, even if you prefer to remain anonymous.

If you choose to receive substance use care or treatment, you will be asked to register as a patient and show your Ontario health card. If you don’t have a health card, we can help you get one.

We can answer questions, offer guidance, and connect you with local substance use supports. The choice is yours.

Our services are provided in English and French. Translation services can also be provided.

Family members and caregivers concerned about a loved one aged 16 or older using substances are also welcome. Care is voluntary.

What is substance use treatment?

A member of our team will talk with you about your goals and explain the supports available. Withdrawal management is only one of several options. The choice is yours. It is okay if you are not ready to make decisions right away. A visit can simply be a conversation.

Treatment Options:

Residential or Inpatient Programs: Intensive, 24/7 care.

Outpatient Programs: Structured treatment while living at home.

Medication Treatments: Options such as methadone or Suboxone, usually provided through clinics or pharmacies.

Treatment for cravings.

Managing withdrawal symptoms.

Ongoing support: Peer groups, case management, housing, and community support to help people sustain recovery.
